On Monday afternoon, around twenty thousand demonstrators gathered at the Malieveld in The Hague to protest against budget cuts in higher education. Students, staff, and administrators came to the muddy demonstration field with banners, flags, and signs to voice their concerns about the cuts. “They act as if we’re a joke.”
