The introduction week for new undergraduate students at the University of Amsterdam is almost over! Thousands of first-year students spent the past few days getting to know the university, the city, and each other.
The programme offered something for everyone: from drawing sessions accompanied by a string quartet to a sports afternoon with unpredictable weather. And, of course, plenty of parties, as is typical of student life. This year there was also a first: the new University Library was opened for the first time.

On Tuesday afternoon, students returned from the University Library to the Roeterseiland campus, better known as Back to the Roets. BigBand PeeWee’s Problem and DJ Yanna provided the music.

From a frisbee match to a rugby tackle demonstration: despite the unpredictable weather during the Intree Games at USC on Science Park, many students took to the field with the different sports clubs.
