Students and employees can still get vaccinated this week on UvA's Roeterseiland campus. The vaccination location will remain open for an extra week. This Thursday there will also be a ‘mobile vaccination team’ at Science Park.

Last week, just under 500 people, mostly students and employees of the university, had themselves vaccinated against covid-19 on the Roeterseiland campus, according to a spokesperson for the Amsterdam Municipal Health Service.

Partly because of that high number, the Municipal Health Service and the university have decided to let the vaccination location remain open one week longer than planned. Until Friday, September 17, anyone can come in for a first vaccination with Janssen or BioNTech/Pfizer, or a second Pfizer shot.

The UvA wanted to be able to offer vaccinations at other locations as well. Due to a lack of vaccination teams, this is difficult, the university spokesperson says. However, on Thursday afternoon, 16 September, there will be a one-time only vaccination team at Science Park. Students and employees can come to The Brainwave bar for a vaccination without an appointment.
