Lecturer of the Year elections to go ahead despite corona
Elections are open for students and staff to nominate the best lecturer in their faculty. The winner will be announced this autumn.
Online education via Skype and Zoom presents new challenges for teachers. More than ever they deserve our appreciation, says Annemarie Zand Scholten of the UvA Teaching and Learning Centre which will organise the election together with the Central Student Council. ‘Students and teachers are doing their utmost to make the best of this situation. This award is about recognition. It’s not about who wins’.
Until 24 April students and staff can vote via www.uva.nl/lectureroftheyear. The winners of each faculty will be announced 28 May and the overall winner will be announced this autumn.
Elections for the Faculty of Medicine have been postponed.
