Future Planet Studies student Daan Rademaekers has been appointed by the Board of Governors as the seventh student assessor of the University of Amsterdam.
Rademaekers will start September 1 for a period of one year. “Education policy has appealed to me for a long time, and this is a great opportunity to both get involved in co-determination and learn a lot from the position of the director,” he says.
The student assessor advises the Executive Board on the interests of students, attends board meetings and places student-related issues on the agenda. The assessor also has close contact with the Central Student Council, students and student associations. Rademaekers previously sat on the faculty council of the science faculty on behalf of student party Lief.
