Video | From Fittie to Loesoe: street language lives on among young people

90s street language is still very much alive in the Netherlands. Research by the Meertens Institute shows that today’s generation of young people still recognize and use words that were popular around 25 years ago, such as loesoe, chickie, and fittie. How has this street language become so integrated into our society? Do UvA students use these words too?
